Government’s decision to transfer Pak PWD projects to provincial governments

The government has decided to transfer the ongoing projects under PSDP of Pak PWD to the provincial governments.

According to the sources, the projects included in PSDP are being transferred with the approval of the federal cabinet. In this way, 52 PSDP projects will be transferred to the Punjab government.

27 projects included in PSDP are being transferred to the Sindh government, 23 projects will be transferred to the KP government while 78 projects will be transferred to the Balochistan government.

72 federal level projects will be transferred to CDA and concerned divisions. The transfer of project budget will be subject to the approval of the Finance Division as per rules, policy and strategy of release of funds.

An officer of 18 grade will be required to handle the projects. In this regard, instructions have been issued that Pak PWD should provide details of projects along with complete records and budget by September 15.
