The governments of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have said that they do not believe in lollipop for reducing electricity prices only in Punjab.
Speaking to a private TV channel, Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s finance advisor Muzmal Aslam said that the provincial government will not be able to provide immediate relief to the people in electricity bills.
Murtaza Wahab said that our government does not believe in pretentiousness and lollipops. By following the advice of the People’s Party, if cheap plants were installed from the reservoirs of Sindh, electricity would have been cheaper today.

He said that giving relief to the people of Sindh for two months will cost 10 billion rupees. If Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government gives relief for two months, it will cost 8 billion rupees and Balochistan government will spend 1 billion rupees.
On this occasion, Muzamil Aslam said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh produce cheap electricity, expensive electricity is produced in Punjab. The Punjab government has given a two-month relief, after which electricity will become expensive again.
