Rawalpindi: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that if the objectives are achieved in this sit-in, it will be the starting point and not the end.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman while addressing the participants of the sit-in said that Thursday is a very important day. We will march forward, God willing, and Jamaat-e-Islami will not let the nation down.
He said that even today the negotiation committee of Jamaat-e-Islami has discussed with the government with full preparation.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that after the success of the sit-in, we will make a big struggle. Our movement will avoid confrontation.
He said that all political prisoners should be freed. All political parties should be allowed to hold rallies and processions. The people’s problems are our problems and the “Haqq Du Awam Ko” movement will go further.
On the other hand, Jamaat-e-Islami vice-emir and head of sit-in negotiation committee Liaqat Baloch said that our sit-in has been going on for 13 days. A large number of people are involved and have been talking about a solution to the power crisis since day one.
He said that when the prices of electricity and petrol increase, the economic circle stops. IPPs are draining national resources. The rulers are not ready to release the people from the torment of IPPs.
Liaquat Baloch said that the rulers have no justification to reject the demands. We have given them demands and we have reservations about the government’s proposals. So far no major disagreement has come out even from the side of the government, but the government’s position has been heard. Now the committee of the party has to be consulted.
