Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s decision to go to the Supreme Court against the constitutional amendment

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to approach the Supreme Court against the proposed constitutional amendments.

A provincial cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. In the meeting, the provincial cabinet approved filing a petition in the Supreme Court against the proposed constitutional amendment.

Apart from this, the cabinet approved the draft Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Debt Management Fund Rules 2024 for repayment of loans to the province. And rejected an offer and decision to borrow US$118.4 million from the Islamic Development Bank for a poverty alleviation project for extremely poor and flood-affected families.

The Cabinet also approved the release of an additional grant of Rs 99 lakh 34 thousand for the purchase of a vehicle for the official use of the Peshawar High Court judge.
