Hajra Shah Moqim: The Central President of Pakistan Railway Premium Union Sheikh Muhammad Anwar has said that on the one hand severe inflation, electricity bills have broken the back of the employees. On the other hand, the sword of termination of jobs has been hung over their heads.
Central President Pakistan Railway Premier Union Sheikh Muhammad Anwar while addressing the meeting said that it has been decided to start the second phase of the protest movement for the approval of their demands.
He said that on September 19, there will be a train march from Lahore to Faisalabad and a rally at Faisalabad railway station.
Sheikh Muhammad Anwar said that the railway employees are being subjected to mental torture. This will become a bone in the neck of the government. The railway employees, with their day and night performance, have brought the railway out of the deficit and turned it into a profitable enterprise for the first time in the country’s history.
He said that for the first time in history, a record income of more than 88 billion rupees has been achieved. But the government has turned a blind eye to the demands of these employees. Termination of employees is the worst example of indifference of railway management.

President Pakistan Railways Premier Union said that the government has a budget of trillions of rupees to award people of choice in the name of IPPs and Benazirankam Support Program but there is no budget for railway employees.
He said that layoffs are only for employees in grades one to 16. No one is going to ask the officers. If the government has to eliminate the posts, it should be started with Grade 17, MP One/Two scale officers.
