Islamabad: Air Force Day is being celebrated with enthusiasm across the country today. Pakistan Air Force played an important role in the Indo-Pak war of 1965.
The purpose of celebrating this day is to pay tribute to the achievements of the Pakistan Air Force in the Indo-Pak War of September 1965. In the war of September 1965, Shaheens of Pakistan Air Force crushed the pride of the enemy.
Pakistan Air Force is considered among the ten best air forces in the world. It was this force that created the eternal stories of courage and bravery by the veterans of Pakistan Air Force to protect the motherland in the war of 1965.

Shaheens of the Pakistan Air Force had turned the tide of the war by shooting down more than 50 aircraft of the Indian Air Force on September 6 and 7 in the Indo-Pak War. Pakistan Air Force pilots had surprised the world with their combat skills.
Today, memorials of the 1965 war will be displayed at all major air bases in the country.
