Australia scored the highest 113 runs in the power play of the T20 international match

Australia achieved a target of 155 runs in 9.4 overs in the T20 match against Scotland and set several international records.

Yesterday, the first match of the T20 series was played between Australia and Scotland at the Grange Club Cricket Ground in Edinburgh. Australia easily defeated the host team by 7 wickets to take the lead in the series.

In the first match of the series played in Edinburgh, Scotland batted first and scored 154 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted overs. Opener George Munsey scored 28 and Matthew Cross scored 27 runs.

In reply, Australia scored 113 runs in 6 overs of power play against the hosts, the highest power play score by any team in a T20 International.

Australian batsman Travis Head scored 80 runs off just 25 balls, hitting 12 fours and 4 sixes, while Mitchell Marsh played a brilliant innings of 39 runs off 12 balls, including 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Travis Head scored a 17-ball half-century on behalf of Australia in a T20 International and claimed the record for the fastest fifty. Australia achieved the target of 155 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 9.4 overs and set a new record for achieving the target of 150 or more runs in the fewest balls.
