Rains across the country, relief activities of Al-Khidmat Foundation continue

Rawalpindi: Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan’s Disaster Management Department is carrying out relief activities in areas affected by rains and floods across Pakistan.

Al-Khidmat Foundation delivered rescue and relief supplies to disaster centers established at central, regional, district and regional levels. From where the supply to the victims continues.

According to Al-Khidmat spokesperson, prepared food, food packages, tents, mosquito nets and other relief materials are being provided to the rain victims. 645 people were rescued from rain and flooded areas. Medical aid and free medicines were provided to 1,603 victims in the medical camps established by Al-Khidmat Foundation.

Central Vice President and Chairman Al Khidmat Disaster Management Ejazullah Khan said that all resources and capabilities will be used to deal with the natural disaster. Al-Khidmat volunteers are our capital who help the people in distress without caring about their own lives.

Earlier, a 2-day disaster management training workshop for volunteers was organized at DMC Rawalpindi by the Department of Disaster Management Al Khidmat Foundation Pakistan in collaboration with United Nations Organization OCHA (OCHA).

National Director Al Khidmat Disaster Management Fazl Mehmood said that Al Khidmat Foundation is fully committed to combating climate change and natural disasters.

He said that in view of the recent rains and floods, teams in Central, Regional and Districts across Pakistan are on full alert and are continuing relief activities in the flood-affected areas. Al Khidmat Foundation has completed the training of 3 thousand volunteers so far.
