Dusan Vlahovic shone brightly for Juventus, netting two goals. He struck first in the 28th minute, taking advantage of a high press initiated by Manuel Locatelli. Locatelli’s aggressive play in midfield created the opportunity for Vlahovic to score and give Juventus the lead.

Nicolò Savona, making his debut in Serie A, extended Juventus’s lead just before the break. Savona scored with a well-placed header, though there was some initial uncertainty about whether Vlahovic had touched the ball. Video replays confirmed that Savona was indeed the scorer, marking a successful debut for the young defender.

In the second half, Juventus secured their third goal after Samuel Mbangula earned a penalty. Vlahovic calmly converted the penalty, completing his brace and ensuring the win. Mbangula’s involvement, particularly his role in earning the penalty, highlighted his strong early-season form.

Verona, coming off a 3-0 triumph over Napoli, failed to replicate their previous success. Their earlier victory included goals from Dailon Livramento and a brace from Daniel Mosquera. However, they struggled against a dominant Juventus side.

Juventus had previously defeated Como 3-0 in their season opener. Mbangula impressed with a goal and an assist, while Timothy Weah and Andrea Cambiaso added goals in stoppage time. Juventus’s strong performance extends their unbeaten run and builds on their successful campaign from last year.

Historically, Juventus has a strong record against Verona, leading their head-to-head encounters 51-15 over 87 matches. Juventus has won four of their last five meetings with Verona and remains unbeaten in their last nine Serie A fixtures. Verona’s home performance against Juventus has been inconsistent, with Juventus winning two of their last ten away games.

Verona will be without Juan Manuel Cruz and Suat Serdar. Reda Belahyane is expected to fill in for Serdar, who is out with a muscle injury. Juventus manager Thiago Motta faces his own challenges, with Khéphren Thuram and Timothy Weah unavailable due to injuries, and Danilo as a potential doubt.

Juventus’s commanding victory reinforces their strong start to the Serie A season and highlights their ongoing form
