Multan: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has announced a nationwide strike on August 28 against inflation.
Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman while addressing a rally in Multan said that the government pushed the whole of Pakistan into inflation. It has become difficult for the government to face the people.
He said that Jamaat-e-Islami cannot hand over 25 crore people to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). These are electricity bills not bombs and we turned our sit-in into several sit-ins. We explained to the children what IPPs are.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that 2 crore children are out of schools. The actual cost of electricity bills is very low but the governments sided with the mafias. Traders are also worried about electricity bills.
He said that people say that our expenses are separate and electricity bills are separate. Jamaat-e-Islami gave awareness to the people with their sit-in and we did not come like that but we came with a written agreement. 14 rupees electricity has been reduced but did any party speak against IPPs. A few people were made powerful in the PPP, PTI governments.

Amir Jamaat-e-Islami said that Jamaat-e-Islami has bound the government in agreements. Why can’t Shahbaz Sharif do what Nawaz Sharif did? Nawaz Sharif today announced to reduce electricity by 14 rupees.
He said that the vadirs did not pay tax and if the jagirdars are taxed then the tax of the poor will be reduced. We talk about giving relief to the whole of Pakistan and we will not nurture the IPPs. This drama will not continue and I will not give the call to Islamabad like this, but I will have to go to the farmers and traders one by one.
Hafiz Naeemur Rahman said, “Are you ready for the big long march?” Addressing the government, he said that you cannot run away by making an agreement with Jamaat-e-Islami. When we made an agreement, we implemented it and we did not go on a collision course.
He said that if not give right then be ready for revolution and Jamaat-e-Islami is becoming the center of hopes of the nation. Be prepared to sacrifice and go to prisons too. Desperate people can’t do anything and youths don’t have to be despondent. Pakistan will lead the world and the time of a big revolution is coming. There will be a nationwide strike on August 28.
