Chance of rain with thunder in different parts of the country today

Islamabad: According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many places including Islamabad, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Balochistan, Upper Sindh during the next 24 hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, more rains are expected in most parts of the country on Sunday. A warning has also been issued by the Meteorological Department in most areas.

Heavy rain with thunderstorm is expected in most parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Islamabad Rawalpindi today. Due to the stormy rains, there is also a risk of flooding in the rain-fed rivers.

Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Sialkot due to heavy rains. Low-lying areas of Narowal, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha are feared to be flooded.

Faisalabad, Leh, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Mardan, Swabi due to rains. Low-lying areas of Charsadda, Nowshera, Peshawar, Balakot, Bannu and Karak may be flooded.

Hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galiat due to heavy rains. There is also a risk of traffic disruption due to landslides in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Earlier yesterday, Islamabad, Upper and Central Punjab during the last 24 hours. A few places in East Sindh, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, East Balochistan and Kashmir received strong winds and thundershowers.

During this period the highest rainfall in Islamabad was 113 mm. Rawalpindi 102 mm, Narowal 36 mm, Lahore 27 mm, Sialkot 7 mm rain was recorded.

Chakwal, Murree 4, Jhelum, Mangala, Jhang 1, Tharparkar 24, Balakot 10. Barkhan 5, Lasbela 2, and Garhi Dupatta recorded 4 mm of rain.

According to the maximum temperature reported on Saturday, Nokundi recorded 46 degrees Celsius, Dalbandin 45 degrees Celsius, Chilas and Sabi 44 degrees Celsius.
