Providing employment to the youth is the top priority of the government, Musadik Malik

Islamabad: Federal Minister Petroleum Dr. Mossadegh Malik has said that providing employment to the youth is the first priority of the government. We have very limited resources. When there is development in the country, employment opportunities will be created.

Federal Minister Petroleum Mossadegh Malik said in a press conference that any country needs a dream and hope to survive. You can live in darkness and poverty but not in despair. If the children who are the future of this country become hopeless or we let them become hopeless then what will be our future.

He said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has only 3 things in mind. How to give employment to the youth, end inflation and provide relief to the poor.

Mossadegh Malik said that when there is development in the country, employment opportunities will be created. Last year our growth rate was zero or negative and now our growth rate has reached 24%.

He said that most employment in the country is provided through agriculture. Our growth rate in this sector has been at a 19-year high of 63%.

The Federal Minister of Petroleum said that the growth rate of our industrial sector was 38 percent. Although there has not been much progress, there has been improvement due to government policies and administrative measures.

He said that this improvement is not a coincidence that there was progress in the agriculture sector. Tractor production and sales increased by 45 percent and credit to farmers to increase productivity increased by 26 percent. They were now given a loan of 9,400 billion.

Mossadeq Malik said that the rate of inflation, which increased to 38% last year, came to 125%. There is still a lot of inflation, but the inflation in food items should be reduced. Inflation which was 40% last year is 2% this year.

He said that 600 billion rupees have been earmarked for the Benazir Income Support Program this year. These funds are especially available to women who run the household. 86% of households in the country consume less than 200 units of electricity. The Prime Minister has made a scheme for them.
