Islamabad: The alleged involvement of Pakistan Customs Service officers in the smuggling of Iranian oil has been revealed. On which the Chief Collector of Customs issued an investigation order.
According to the report, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has initially released lists of 40 officers and personnel. Who are accused of facilitating the smuggling of Iranian oil.
Lists of all the officers and personnel were compiled after receiving the secret information from FBR.
Chief Collector Customs Rabab Sikander said that a list of names has been received on which an investigation has been ordered.
According to FBR’s charge sheet, customs officers and officials are facilitating the smuggling of Iranian oil from Taftan border to Punjab. FBR has issued a letter to the Chief Collector to conduct an inquiry against the concerned Customs employees.

The Chief Collector Punjab has been directed to share with the board the facts emerging in the inquiry. Chief Collector Punjab ordered an inquiry to Collector Allama Iqbal International Airport and Collector Information Lahore.
A fact-finding inquiry has also been directed against all the concerned officers and officials.
