Storm of inflation, 74 percent of Pakistanis unable to meet their expenses

The financial challenges faced by people living in urban areas of Pakistan have increased by 14% compared to last year due to sky-high inflation.

The latest research by Pulse Consultants revealed that 74 percent of Pakistanis are unable to cover their expenses with their current income.

Inflation rate increased by 2.1% in the first month of the new financial year

In May 2023, their number was 60%, 60% of 74% of people cut back on other expenses, including food, and 40% borrowed money to cover their expenses.

According to the research, 10% of these 74% of people have taken on additional part-time jobs in addition to cutting expenses and borrowing money.
