A high-profile sexual harassment case has been registered with the Islamabad police, allegedly involving the son of a family friend of a top bureaucrat sitting in the Pakistan Supreme Office, informed ICT police officials said.
Islamabad Police received a complaint from a high-profile woman who was wanted for legal action against sexual harassment and harassment. Police officials added that the alleged harasser is very influential, with various secretaries (BS-22) trying to cover up the incident. Police officials further revealed that at least four federal secretaries were trying to protect the harasser while the director general of a civilian agency was supporting his senior officer, whose daughter was involved in the tragic incident at the club. came.
According to the FIR
“I wish to report that on Saturday 3rd August at around 9:30 PM, my only daughter Munni* (name changed to conceal victim’s identity) was subjected to multiple verbal and physical advances by a person named Wasif Karim. sexually harassed and assaulted her by and made gestures in the “Family Hall” of Islamabad Club when I was having dinner with my family including my husband and son.
Mrs Ismat (real identity withheld) further stated in her complaint that the accused deliberately touched her inappropriately, intended to insult her dignity and made sexually harassing remarks and directed towards her. Also made inappropriate gestures.
My daughter Munni immediately reported the assault and harassment to the club staff in the family hall. Club staff identified Mr. Masood as a guest of the club member. Club staff questioned Mr. Masood about the incident, who stated that the alleged person was his guest named Wasif Karim who that works in a private company and he is gone.
The FIR stated that the said incident caused extreme mental trauma to my 18-year-old daughter and caused embarrassment, stress and humiliation to me and my family. In view of the above facts, it is requested that immediate legal action be taken against the culprit so that the said harasser is brought to book and punished according to law.
