Karachi ranks first in the list of cheapest cities in the world

According to the recently collected data, Karachi has been ranked first in the list of cheapest cities in the world.

A list of the cheapest cities in the world in terms of living in the first 6 months of this month has been released by the Serbian data company Numbeo. The list also includes 3 cities of Pakistan, Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

Nimbio’s list is based on New York City and compared to 218 other cities based on lifestyle costs, rents, bargains, hotel prices and purchasing power of locals.

Karachi tops the list of cheapest cities which is 81% cheaper than New York. Lahore is the second cheapest city and Islamabad is the fourth.

The Indian city of Kolkata is third and Chennai is fifth in the list.

On the other hand, in the list, the city of Geneva in Switzerland is the most expensive city in the world, which is 1.7 percent more expensive than New York. Zurich is the second most expensive city and New York is the third.
