The federal government has decided to dismantle expensive power plants to reduce the cost of electricity.
According to the Power Division statement, the delegation of MQM met Federal Minister for Power Sardar Owais Ahmed Khan Laghari in which a detailed discussion was held on the electricity problems of Karachi.
The reason for capacity payment is falling rupee value, rising interest rate and lack of economic growth, Owais Leghari.
