Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid has resigned from her post after the ongoing riots in the country.
According to foreign news agency Reuters, Hasina Wajid was sent to India, the army gave a 45-minute ultimatum to Hasina Wajid to resign.
Thousands of people entered Hasina Wajid’s residence in Dhaka. According to the report of the news agency, Prime Minister Hasina Wajid has left for India in a military helicopter.
The report said that Bangladesh Army Chief Waqarul Zaman will address the nation after some time. The report quoted a Bangladeshi military official as saying that the army chief is discussing the current situation in the country with some stakeholders.
