Islamabad: Special pink buses for female students and teachers will be available in the federal capital Islamabad from August 7 on the instructions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
According to the Ministry of Education, these pink buses will run on all major routes. It will connect rural areas with urban centers and make travel easier and safer for them.
The availability of pink buses will enable free, safe and convenient transportation for female students and teachers.

According to sources in the education department, these transports will encourage girls’ education and women’s empowerment. Running pink buses on all major routes of Islamabad will help connect rural areas with urban centers including educational institutions.
Education department officials further said that regular monitoring and evaluation will be ensured to ensure this operation. The initiative aims to promote girls’ education, women’s empowerment and inclusive development in Islamabad.
