Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Aamir Farooq removed the objections of the Registrar’s Office on the petition, lawyer Muhammad Azhar Siddique appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner Shahri Malik Najiullah.

The petitioner’s lawyer said that the new amendment ordinance was not even presented in the Parliament, the remand period has been increased from 14 to 40 days in the amendment ordinance, the punishment of the officer who prosecuted the case for malice has been reduced from 5 years to 2 years. Held, passing the Ordinance without taking it to Parliament is contrary to the intent of the Act.
