Japan tops the points table with 4 medals, Australia second

On the second day of the ongoing Olympics 2024 in Paris, Japan overtook Australia on the points table and occupied the first position.

Another 13 gold medals were decided at the end of the second day of the Paris Olympics, with several countries winning their first medals. So far, 22 countries have opened their account on the points table.

Japan leads the points table with 4 gold medals, 2 silver and one bronze medal, Australia has 4 gold and 2 silver medals, they are in second position with six overall medals.

USA is on the third place in the points table with 3 gold medals, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals. Host France is fourth with 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals while South Korea is in fifth place with 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal.

Germany, Hong Kong and Uzbekistan won one gold medal each on the second day of the event. India got its first medal at the Paris Olympics in the form of a bronze won by Manobhakar in the women’s 10m air pistol.
